Has anyone heard of Fraxin Tm. A vegan alternative to Botox? Thoughts?

Botox has not given me the results I was hoping for. I’ve tried 3 alternative doctors so I’m sure it’s my genetic make-up. A friend in Uk has recommended Fraxin as an alternative and I’ve seen some amazing quick results. Any thoughts?

I have not heard of anyone using Fraxin in the U.S. as an althernative to Botox. It contains a molecule call spilanthol, which appears to have a number of interesting properties. However, I could not find any peer-reviewed articles on using it in this way, while there are hundreds documenting the clinical efficacy and safety of botulinum toxin A (Botox and other brands.) I agree with the recommendation to try zinc supplements.

I cannot comment on Fraxin specifically, but I would ask if you have tried zinc supplementation prior to your injections.  The mechanism of action for Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Jeuveau, etc. ALL require adequate zinc levels to work.  If you are not having optimum efficacy with any neurotoxin, zinc supplementation is the first thing to try.  I use Zytaze in my practice when I have a non-responder and have very good results.  According to a pilot study off 44 patients, utilizing Zytaze demonstrated that increasing zinc levels for 4 days prior to a planned botulinum toxin injection resulted in an increase in both the treatment effect as well as duration. Importantly, the study included blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and cosmetic patients.This study suggests that using Zytaze may lead to fewer toxin injections at a lower dose and with less treatment-to-treatment variability in effect.
