Answer: My donor area looks very thin after FUE. Bald patches. Large Punches. This is yet another case where inexperience and punch size has caused either a massive shockloss or a denutted donor. Either of which we will not know intil 3-4 months post op.You need to wait 3-4 months and if you see that you still have a moth eaten look consider BHT or SMP.

Answer: Thin donor area Harvesting from the donor area involves a multitude of factors to ensure that both the grafts taken are not damaged (transected) and that the donor area blends in with the rest of the hair. In my practice I use PRP and other growth factors to allow the donor area to heal rapidly (in my own head I was presentable in 3 days). This helps prevent shock loss and can help encourage existing hairs to grow. When the donor area is being harvested, careful planning takes place to ensure that the pattern of removal is irregular so that the eye can not detect removal of hair. In addition, a specific percentage of coverage is needed for each patient (formula based on your hair density and caliber) which can be calibrated with the ARTAS robotic system. Removing the donor area by hand is much more likely to cause areas of see through and alopecia. Best Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Donor area looks very thin after FUE Sometimes there may be such a early phase weak and low density appearance in donor areas after FUE surgery, but fortunatelly most are transient. İt may happen because of over harvesting or transient post traumatic shedding /shock loss. Any way it heals and hair regrow in 4-5 months of hair restoration surgery .
