4m post op. appt today. bottoming out has started on breast with larger implant and where doc lowered the fold to match other side. it's now a cm lower than other side and you can really see it when I raise my arms. He said to always where a supportive bra to help stop it. He also brought up surgery. I already wear a bra 24/7 but a sports bra at night. So now I'll wear a regular bra 24/7. Will this stop it? what else can I do? Will I have to get surgery?

Answer: Bottoming out Thank you for your question. Unfortunately there is not much that you can do on your own to prevent "bottoming out". Wearing a supportive bra in theory can help support the weight of the implant, but eventually the implant will settle into the pocket on it's own. Tissue will always have some stretch to it and the weight of the implant with create that stretch and settling. Best advice is to let things settle and then determine if you find this suitable or not. Best wishes.

Answer: How to Stop bottoming out without scheduling surgery again? It's I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. Given that you are only four months out of surgery at this point, I think that it will be in your best interest to wait prior to consider in additional surgery. Allow both breast implants to reach their final position before making any decisions. In the longer term, if you continue to have significant asymmetry, capsulorraphy will likely be necessary. Follow your past surgeons adcice regarding the suppotive bras; in my opinion, especially given the size of the breast pumps, it is unlikely that they will be very effective. Best wishes.
