There are significant limitations in using before and after pictures to choose the desired implant size because there are many things that determine the final look other than height, weight, and cup size. It can however be useful to see what sort of look you like. Other options are VECTRA 3-D simulations and implants samples in a bra.

Hello and thank you for your question. Every patient's breast anatomy is different, so you would need to be evaluated in person to determine the best plan for your surgery. However, there are plenty of photographs of patients with similar size breasts. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon who you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck

and invest in a consultation to find out what you can achieve.  Different sized implants are used when there is a significant discrepancy between breast mounds.  An analogy used to help my patients understand this better, I ask the visualize a ping pong ball and golf ball... one is obviously larger.  Now mix in a softball (the implant) and then tell me which one is bigger?  Much harder to tell now. 

It may be helpful to find a practice with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that offers the Vectra 3-D imaging system. The Vectra 3-D imaging system enables you to virtually "try on" various implant sizes so that you can see which implants will look best on you and make a decision you feel comfortable with.I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your photographs, I think that you are starting at a good place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.You will likely find some relevant before/after photographs on the attached link.

Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:

1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.

2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals.
In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example,
I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.

Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.

3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.

From you limited photos, it seems that your left breast lacks lower medial pole fullness; if this is the case, you may want to consider a combination of silicone implants to give you larger breasts and fat grafting to correct the lack of left breast medial pole fullness.

You probably won't find a "petite" category but there are quite a few websites with literally hundreds of pre and post op photos, most listing the patient's ht and wt. It will take some looking. But it really isn't necessary. Find pre and post photos you like, it does not matter the patient's stats, and show the photos to your surgeon as wish photos. If the surgeon can't figure out what it will take to create that look on your body, it's a pretty inexperienced surgeon.
