Last friday i went for my third ipl treatment. My skin today (wednesday) looks bumpy/rough. Is this a normal reaction? Or do i have to stop. I also have had 3 laser and 5 peeling treatments. But the last treatments was only ipl. On the photo you can see how my skin now looks. Because i have makeup you dont see the redness.
Answer: Irritation after IPL Thank you for your photo. It appears you may have some contact dermatitis and inflammation. I would return to your provider as soon as possible so they may give you medication to calm down that histamine response. The amount of IPL's and/or chemical peels you have had in the past will not have any effect on this outcome. I hope this helps.Be well!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Bumpy skin after IPL treatment I can see the uneven texture to your skin in the photo. I would wait and let your skin recover for several months before you have any more treatments if any kind. Every treatment is an “insult” to the skin which takes time to heal. You may have done too many treatments in too short of a time for your skin to fully recover. Best regards.

Answer: IPL related skin texture changes IPL therapy or other thermal (laser) treatment, chemical peels, or other resurfacing products or techniques may cause comedomes or milia formation due to temporary swelling causing blockage of your skin pores. Your provider can treat these conditions with topical and oral medications. The good news is this will resolve!

Answer: IPL reaction Hello Manon0810, Sorry for your bad reaction to your treatment. What the bumps look like on your photo is more of an allergic reaction possibly to aftercare products not so much from the IPL. I would advise you to go back to your doctor's office where the service was done to inform them what your reaction has been since your IPL. Good Luck!!!

Answer: IPL reactions and skin texture. No, not a normal reaction. This can be due to a few conditions including irritant or contact dermatitis, clogged pores, and epidermal changes due to the IPL. Really can not give you a firm diagnosis, however this is NOT a normal reaction following IPL. We really do need more history from you to complete the picture. Best see your Specialist who performed this procedure, all the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
