You do not have to water your transplanted hair every hour. If this is what your doctor instructed you to do then it is best to contact your doctor for clarification.
Thank you for asking this question.Looking at the picture everything seems perfectly normal. You need not do anything intentionally to get rid of the scabs. As an as you do the head wash, the scabs will be washed out by itself. Please don’t pluck it out intentionally. If you find some scabs resistant to go then you can try a cotton piece dipped in Luke-warm water and keep it over that particular scab for 10 to 15 minutes before head wash. The cleaner the transplant the better the growth. We suggest you to do head wash every day from now for 1 weeks which will make sure the scabs to go away. Good luck! Regards, Dr. Amit Gupta
Your crusts should have been washed off with soap and water the day after the transplant. An FUE is treated just like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days of surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of losing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing.
Many people may have their hair combed back since it looks the best with the least amount of hairs. With more hair focused on the hair line and less hair focused on the top, combing the hair back covers up the thinning. The direction of grafts is not a factor in personal hair style choice u...
The maximum number of available donor grafts for an FUE hair transplant will be highly variable depending on your donor hair density. For a STRIP (FUT) procedure an average caucasian male may have up to 8000 but the number for FUE may be much lower. If you keep your hair VERY SHORT the FUE s...
It looks to me like some permanent shock loss around the incision line occurred due to too tight closure. I would probably recommend FUE grafting that area.
