1 week after breast lift with implants. Is this necrosis? (Photo)

So about a week after my breast lift with implants I noticed my areola was bleeding a little bit. I looked closer and noticed about 1/2 of it was black and after research learned this was necrosis. I contacted my surgeon and was told to clean it daily with saline and apply antibiotic cream twice daily. He says the pigment should return within a year. I’m just looking for more opinions. Does it look like a severe case? Does it look like the pigment will return? What is the yellow stuff leaking?

Hi hotpink129, Thank you for your question and photos. It is not unusual to experience some bruising, redness and itching on the incision site after breast augmentation surgery. Also, tightness may also be experienced as the tissues around the implants are still swollen following the surgery....
