Is BBL worth it? (Photo)

Hello ! Thanks for taking the time to read and answer this. I want more of a curvier look .. I want my waist smaller and my hips more full. I have been reading about BBLs and my question is.. Would a BBL be worth if for me ? I know a percentage of the fat dies and I don't really have that much fat to work with .. I was interested in a mini tummy tuck but It was explained to me from a few doctors that I wouldn't get the "new" stomach I wanted. With the BBL, will it make me have more extra skin ?

There are a lot of women who can get nice results from the BBL despite thinking that there is not enough fat. Maximal fat must be harvested without creating any contour deformities. Fat can be harvested from the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back, etc. and transferred to the hips and buttocks. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced with liposuction to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and facial integrity has remained the same. You will find that the results are very much surgeon dependent. Consult via email or Skype with a board certified PS who can provide more advice based upon additional photos.

Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction with a BBL and a tummy tuck, to give you a nice tight tummy and to get rid of the extra skin, and I think you'll get very good results. 
Liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You can improve your waist, back and flanks, and of course your buttock, to give you a beautiful heart shape, along with the tummy tuck.
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 33 or less.

In the end you’re the one who has to decide if you should have cosmetic surgery, which procedure it you should have and it’s definitely you who decides if it’s worth it or not.

What do you need help with is to convey what high-quality results can look like based on your individual candidacy for various procedures.
In regards to a BBL you are on the thin side but I believe you have enough fat for a high-quality fat transfer. This may require liposuction of your full torso, arms and thighs.

Based on your pictures I would say your bottom is relatively large or full to start with. Especially compared to your thin waist.

Fat transfer primarily adds volume and creates shape secondarily.

You haven’t explained what you’re trying to achieve so it’s hard for us to say if this is something that you should do or not.

The mini tummy tuck is probably not going to give you what you want since it only address is skin laxity below your belly button.

You could opt for a full tummy tuck if you want.

Having liposuction is also a good option for you. Considering that your bottom is already pretty full I think skipping fat transfer or Moderat fat transfer may be appropriate.

During consultations I try to find before and after pictures that are similar to my patients as possible.

This means finding other patients who had similar degrees of skin laxity, fat amount and body structures to convey what final results look like and what the patients can expect.

It’s very important to not compare apples to oranges.

Some people are exceptionally good candidates and for these people we anticipate having very high-quality outcomes.

Patients or not good candidates need to lower their expectations substantially.

Simply looking at a few select best of their career before and after photographs on someone’s webpage has very little correlation with what your results may actually look like.

The importance of a high-quality in person consultation is that we can make an individual assessment and show you fairly precisely what your individual results will look like. Personally I do this by looking through thousands of before and after pictures from previous patients based on decades of doing body contouring.

The results from these procedures very substantially among different providers. Because of this I recommend having multiple consultations. If at all possible I recommend meeting the surgeon in person so they can have a chance to examine you.

Fat survival after fat transfer varies based on multiple variables.

Perhaps the greatest variable is the presence of host tissue.  Grafting fat in an area devoid of substantial host tissue leads to a much higher percentage of graft failure.

For example, if someone has very thin soft tissue layers in their hip dip in this area is going to have the most limited survival rate or amount of fat that can survive with a single round a fat transfer. Afton were patients need the volume most is when it’s least likely to survive best.

Highly experienced plastic surgeons have a come good at anticipating and knowing what results will look like. It’s no longer a guessing game but we can accurately predict individual results before surgery based on experience.

It’s this ability to make an accurate assessment and help accurately depict what actual results will look like for different individual candidates that is the hallmark of a high-quality consultation.
