Hello, I'm planning on having a BBL soon. The job I work is a warehouse job, that involves being on my feet for 10 hours, 4 days a week, there is lifting involved, and lots of quick cardio throughout. It is also hot, and sweating will happen no matter what. I of course will speak with higher up's about getting some off time, but I don't think 6 weeks off is realistic. What do you think is the quickest time I can go back to work at this job without negatively impacting health or results?
Answer: I have a physical labor job and want a BBL Many of my patients return to work after 7 to 14 days if that work is sedentary or nonstrenuous. A week is probably OK with a conservative buttock augmentation of 600 cc to 800 cc per buttock. If you are going in the 1200 cc to 1800 cc per buttock range, you may need 10 to 14 days. For most patients strenuous activity can be resumed in 6 weeks. I recommend that my patients minimize sitting, even with a pillow, for the first two weeks. If they must sit, every 30 minutes or an hour, they should get up and stand for a few seconds to take the pressure off. This reduces the chance for fat necrosis. I usually recommend about 6 weeks before sitting without a pillow. After 6 weeks the fat has revascularized, and they will have a very good idea of their final results.

Answer: Recovery time Dear Rachel2776, I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Answer: I have a physical labor job and want a BBL Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patients to allow 2-4 weeks for recovery, and to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, but each doctor has their own protocol. I also recommend not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. Remember that each doctor has their own protocol, it is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions. Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)

Answer: Return to physical labor after BBL Personally I think three weeks is sufficient to go back to unlimited physical activity both in regards to safety for the outcome and comfort. Six weeks seems like an excessively long amount of time. If you’re able to slow down and take it a little easy you may be able to go back after two weeks. Different plastic surgeons will have different views in regards to protecting the grafted fat etc. etc. In my opinion anything after three weeks is not going to have an impact on the final results. Answer: BBL You should be able to return to normal work within two-four weeks. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
