Body hair and Sculpsure?

Question

My hubby would like to have Sculpsure after seeing my incredible results. Would he have to shave hair on his abdomen area to have this service done? Obviously, that was not an issue for me, but a sticking point for him.

Thank you for your question, Ritajwilson. Body hair does have to be removed to attach the Velcro pads to the tummy and flanks. The hair will grow back most importantly on skin with reduced fat. Please be sure you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,

You do need to shave body hair over an area that will be treated with SculpSure or the hair will burn from the laser.  The hair will grow back after the treatment though.

appreciate your concern.The company recommendations is to remove the hair prior to the treatment. there is a conduction oil that is needed to secure contact of the beams.

SculpSure is a great choice for non surgical fat reduction in men.  There is no down time and it only takes 24 minutes to complete with minimal discomfort.  The hair only needs to be removed if it is excessive.  So far, I have not had to shave any male patients prior to their treatment, so I would recommend not shaving before the procedure and let the doctor decide if any hair needs to be removed prior to the actual treatment.  It takes only 2 minutes to remove any body hair before the procedure.
