I had a lower body lift with skin removal on inner thigh and around waist. I am 38 yr old female weigh 125lbs. It has been 6 months post op, I am healing fine but feel I still need more skin lift and maybe with bodytite this time. My question is will the bodytite help now that I have less skin and how long do I need to wait? I still have a lot of loose skin on my outer thighs and hips to the point its still uncomfortable when I run for exercise. Also will it help with cellulite?
Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear princessmp83, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Target loose skin by doing Morpheus8 treatments. It will help aid production of collagen while tightening the skin. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: BodyTite for loose skin BodyTite may potentially help with remaining loose skin after a lower body lift, especially if performed several months post-operatively. Here are some considerations: Lower Body Lift: A lower body lift (belt lipectomy) is a surgical procedure that addresses loose skin and excess fat around the lower abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. It involves removing excess skin and tightening the remaining skin to improve contour and firmness. BodyTite for Skin Tightening: BodyTite uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, promoting collagen production and tightening loose skin. It can be particularly beneficial for further refining skin laxity in areas that may not have been fully addressed during the initial surgery. Timing: It’s generally recommended to wait at least 6-12 months after a lower body lift before considering additional procedures like BodyTite. This allows for adequate healing and stabilization of the surgical outcomes. Consultation with a Plastic Surgeon: It’s essential to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience with both lower body lifts and BodyTite treatments. They can assess your current skin laxity, discuss your aesthetic goals, and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan. Realistic Expectations: While BodyTite can provide additional skin tightening benefits, it’s important to have realistic expectations. The extent of improvement in skin laxity will depend on factors such as your skin quality, the amount of remaining loose skin, and your body’s response to treatment. Combination Treatments: Your surgeon may recommend combining BodyTite with other procedures or treatments, such as traditional liposuction or non-surgical skin tightening, to achieve optimal results based on your individual needs. In summary, BodyTite can be a valuable option to further enhance skin tightening and contour refinement after a lower body lift. However, the decision to undergo additional procedures should be carefully discussed with your surgeon to ensure it aligns with your goals and is safe based on your specific circumstances and recovery timeline.

Answer: Bodytite - after body lift All skin relaxes over time after skin removal- that's unfortunately what we all deal with. Focused areas really benefit with BodyTite treatments. My patients tell me if "feels" different than just lipo or just skin excision. Now specifically how much things will tighten is difficult to predict but remember small areas about the size of a hand/palm BodyTite does great! Best Wishes!!

Answer: Considering procedures An in person evaluation or photos are needed to determine if you are a good candidate for BodyTite. This procedure uses RF technology to tighten skin up to 40%. If your skin laxity is significant you will likely want to revise your body lift procedure. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for more information.
