BodyTite or tummy tuck after weight loss? (Photo)

According to the pictures, the best option should be abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) that involve surgical skin removal as well.. The key here is to understand what you would like to achieve, what are your expectations. In my clinical practice, if the patient refuses to undergo for tummy tuck surgery, then there are less invasive surgical procedures such as BodyTite or Renuvion which could improve skin retraction. However, if your saggy/excess skin will not improve and so if you are unhappy after 4-6 months then you should consider surgical treatment to remove the excess of loose skin.
It is important to perform a detailed surgical assessment i.e. to assess the quality of the skin (elasticity) before to proceed with the surgery.

You would be disappointed with the results of BodyTite after losing 75 pounds. Healthy people at their ideal weight should have the best overall recovery from a TT and lipo, but some of this will depend upon the surgical technique and adherence to postoperative protocols.
Liposuction, combined with the standard TT, will allow you to have stubborn fat resistant to exercise and diet removed from unwanted areas. A TT with muscle tightening will create a flat abdomen and would also provide the benefit of placing your incision along the lower pubic region. The TT also creates a more youthful belly button. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and fascial integrity has remained the same

bodytite and renuvion will do very little for you, you need skin removal.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

The Body Tite system uses radiofrequency to shrink wrap the tissues with an average of about 40% improvement in skin tightening. It slowly works by increasing collagen production in the treated area over 6-9 months. Meaning after one treatment your tissues continue to improve for 6-9 months after the treatment. Body Tite does not treat stretch marks or rectus diastasis. An Abdominoplasty will remove excess tissue resulting in a flat abdomen. Typically an abdominoplasty will have a much better result than the BodyTite but requires an incision and a longer recovery time. I hope this helps! Congratulations on your weight loss. Thanks for the photos since they were very helpful. It appears that you have extra skin following your 75 lbs weight loss as well as laxity. The photos also show stretchmarks, which indicate that the skin was overstretched and damaged when you were heavier. The only way to treat extra skin is to remove it via tummy tuck. Removing the excess skin will also help decrease the amount of stretch marks since this skin will be removed during the surgery. I am not a plastic surgeon but I have performed BodyTite for a few years. I don't think that you would be happy with the level of tightening and results that you would see with BodyTite alone. We specialize in Bodytite and I will say I think you are a great candidate for this! Bodytite is less invasive with less downtime and allows your body time generate its own collagen and elastin to give you the taut skin you are looking for! A tummy tuck would be more invasive with more downtime and would mechanically give you those results.
