Im getting over having bronchitis. I finished all my antibiotics of amoxcilin. I still cough here and there. And now I feel like I'm getting a sore throat. My surgery is in 3 days for a breast augmentation. Should I reschedule.

Answer: Should you hold off on surgery? I believe your symptoms should be totally gone before you consider surgery. If your bronchitis has lasted quite a while, it may be better to consider waiting a few weeks before having your surgery. This is best determined by your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Should I reschedule my breast augmentation if i’ve gottten over bronchitis The answer unfortunately is very variable, but what I can tell you is that if you have active bronchitis (With a productive cough) or any respiratory problem its important to notify the surgeon ASAP. More often than not you will be postponed or rescheduled. A lot of surgeons follow the “better to be safe than sorry” principle, especially in elective cosmetic surgery. Hope this helps best of luck

Answer: Should I reschedule my breast augmentation if I've just gotten over bronchitis? Hello! This is a great question. Sometimes even the most carefully made plans are disrupted when a poorly timed illness pops up. It’s usually best to let your body rest until you feel completely better. You’d probably take time off from work if you weren’t feeling well — and surgery is much harder on your body than a day in the office! You should always let your plastic surgeon know if you aren’t feeling your best in the days leading up to surgery, especially with a respiratory illness that could cause problems with anesthesia or with pain and coughing after surgery. It’s most important that you are safe and that your recovery goes smoothly. Good luck and get well soon!
