Im getting over having bronchitis. I finished all my antibiotics of amoxcilin. I still cough here and there. And now I feel like I'm getting a sore throat. My surgery is in 3 days for a breast augmentation. Should I reschedule.

Answer: Postpone Thank you for your question. I do think you should postpone your surgery. You do not want to take any additional risks with elective surgery. Lung issues can affect your anesthesia and increase risks. I would inform your PS. Best of luck

Answer: Should you hold off on surgery? I believe your symptoms should be totally gone before you consider surgery. If your bronchitis has lasted quite a while, it may be better to consider waiting a few weeks before having your surgery. This is best determined by your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Should I reschedule my breast augmentation if i’ve gottten over bronchitis The answer unfortunately is very variable, but what I can tell you is that if you have active bronchitis (With a productive cough) or any respiratory problem its important to notify the surgeon ASAP. More often than not you will be postponed or rescheduled. A lot of surgeons follow the “better to be safe than sorry” principle, especially in elective cosmetic surgery. Hope this helps best of luck
