I am almost 6 weeks post op 415cc round smooth, silicone implants, under the muscle, underboob incision. I am very unhappy with my results because I feel my cleavage is too far apart now and looks like a wide chasm between my breasts. I can fit two fingers between. I never had an issue with wide Cleavage prior to surgery and I’ve added my pre-op photo for comparison. Will the appearance of my Cleavage improve as my breasts continue to “drop and fluff” or will this remain stable?
Answer: Breast Augmentation Result Congratulations on your procedure! You appear to have a very nice result so far. Breast implants increase breast volume but cleavage and the distance between your breasts is primarily determined by your natural anatomy. I would not anticipate that this will change much throughout your recovery process. I would advise discussing any questions or concerns about your results with your surgeon as well. He or she is best equipped to advise you. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast results Thank you for your question. Your gap in between your breasts seem similar before and after surgery. Unfortunately we can't change this distance too drastically. By adding an implant it may improve slightly but not much. You do not want your implants too close together, it can cause other issues. I would also suggest giving it a little more time. Implants take about 6-8 months to settle completely. Follow your surgeons recommendations and continue to follow up. Best of luck to you.

Answer: BA results Dear moderngirl, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 6 weeks post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Answer: Breast Augmentation Results Dear moderngirl,Based on your pre- and postoperative photos, it looks like your cleavage (intermammary distance) is similar or the same. It does appear more exaggerated due to the increased projection you now have. This will not improve over time, as implant placement is partly governed by your own anatomy. Best regards,Nirmal R.
