I'm 5 days away from my tummy tuck and realized I completely spaced telling my surgeon about taking Valtrex for occasional herpes breakthroughs. Is it safe to take Valtrex prior to surgery considering anesthesia?

I would suggest that you discuss this with your plastic surgeon who should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
