I had my nose fixed one week after I broke it. I would like to know when if i can exercise?

In general, I tell my patients it is good to refrain from sports which
require exertion for 6-8 weeks since this can increase the swelling in the nose
however you should always check with your surgeon for specific guidelines.

Each surgeon will have his/her preference.  For my patients, I allow light cardio (jogging, elliptical) at 2 weeks after surgery, and full exercise 4 weeks after surgery.  Touch base with your surgeon to ensure the best results.  

Dear smashedface~Thank you for your question.  After a closed reduction of a nasal fracture, I would normally ask patients to avoid strenuous activity for two weeks, and to start light and increase over a week.Also, be aware that anything that involves bending over or straining is going to make your nose swell more, though this is not damaging to your nose.Please check with the person who performed your procedure about any post-operative concerns.Best wishes,Amy Hsu
