After rhino/septo/balloon sinuplasty, when can I wear glasses again? Will it be bad if I sneeze? When can I go back to work?

I permit my patients to wear glasses immediately after rhinoplasty if they need to. I don't have any particular restrictions on blowing the nose. Nevertheless these are questions properly addressed to your own plastic surgeon.

After a septorhinoplasty, I advise my patients not to wear glasses for 6 weeks.  This will prevent the pressure of the glasses from causing damage.  This is especially true if patient underwent nasal osteotomies (breaking of the nasal bones)If you have the urge to sneeze after surgery, sneeze through your mouth.  Sneezing through the nose can cause damage or bleeding.You can go back to work after 8 days but you may have some residual bruising and swelling.  Balloon sinuplasty is commonly performed in both nasal cavities but there are instances where it can be completed in one side.  It would depend on the location of your symptoms (one sided vs both sides) and the results of your CT scan.  I hope this helps.
