I Have my Lower Lips in Front of Upper Lips? (photo)

When the upper lip is retrograde to the lower the profile is not attractive.  The easiest correction is with staged Juvederm over a period of 2 months and 3 sessions.   Ideal is the upper lip slightly ahead or even with the lower.  The staged concept allows the patient to watch and choose.  Juvederm is very long lasting at 90% in one year, 70% in 2 years and 50 % in 3 years.  In immobile areas the duration is much longer.  As time passes additional can be added.   Alternatives would be fat graft and then Juederm.  Another possibility is bone or cartilage.    Dental manipulation and adjustment of front teeth size can also be useful.   All these can be considered and then the best and most economical can be chosen.   All have merit.  My Best,  DR C
