Bumped my head on 13th day after HT. Would the grafts get damaged within the scalp from the pressure of the impact?

Its been 13 days since my Hair transplant for 1600 grafts. While sleeping in the bus, due to sudden braking, I accidentally bumped my head on the front side (just above the hairline where grafts were inserted) to the seat ahead. I checked with my fingers & there was no bleeding. Just slight pain for couple of hours. I assume grafts are firmly placed after 6/7 days & cannot be dislodged, but is there a possibility of the grafts getting damaged within the scalp from the pressure of the impact ?

By 9 days grafts are firmly incorporated into the scalp.Based on your description I am quite confident that your grafts are just fine!

It would be unlikely you damaged the grafts with a bump on the head unless the trauma was significant.  If you are concerned it is best to follow up with your doctor.

The lack of any bleeding strongly suggests that no grafts were damaged by your accident. I like to err on the side of caution in my post-op instructions and ask my patients to avoid doing anything that might dislodge a graft for two weeks after their surgery. However, studies show that grafts are secured and not at risk of being pulled out by around day 9. It is unlikely that receiving an impact on the area would harm the follicles as they are situated below the skin. I'm confident that you'll be fine.

at one months, bumping your head should not cause any problems for the hair transplanted grafts on the front or top of your head
