Nano fat vs micro fat for volume - what is the difference?

In many areas of the face we use both forms of fat grafts; micro, to increase volume and nano to provide better graft take, skin and surrounding tissues improvement. Although we do not actually know how all of this works in detail (that is why you may find so many different opinions), it seems to be working well for most of our patients in the past 20 years. Don’t let marketing terms throw you off on what it is and it’s not important.
In the end, they only variables that matter are you a candidacy for the procedure combined with the skillet experience of the provider doing the procedure
Facial fat grafting, especially around the eyes is an imprecise unpredictable and potentially unforgiving procedure.
I suggest working with fillers, which are the opposite, (precise, predictable, and forgiving).
If you do end up, opting for having fat grafted than I would be extremely selective of who do you choose to do the procedure.
Do that by having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who have a facial characteristics to your own.
Recognize that early fat transfer results can look very impressive but early results do not represent final results in any way.
Never assume that picture is being shown our final after pictures. Instead ask specifically what the timeframe of when after pictures were taken in relationship to the surgery. After pictures should never be taken sooner than 3 to 6 months from the date of the procedure.
Grafted fat in this area can be very difficult to remove if people don’t like the outcome.
Fillers are superior in every measure except longevity.
