I got Belafill above my eye (to fill a childhood surgery scar) and at my cheek bone (to lift my nasal folds a bit). This is what I looked like after 48 hrs and now still 2 week later. The plastic surgeon try to inject something to resolve it. It made no difference. Now what?
Answer: Possible Removal of Bellafill Filler migration and granuloma formation can cause longterm problems with Bellafill and Artefill fillers. This is similar in patients who have Artecoll and PMMA fillers. Longterm filler complications include migration, edema, chronic swelling, and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes, corticosteroids, and scar tissue modulators. Our HIDEF approach can break down filler scarring and granulomas so that they are less apparent. If the filler material itself does not dissolve, it either means the filler is likely not HA material or is unresponsive to conservative therapy. This technique may be followed by surgical removal of the filler if there is a suitable target for removal and the chance of scarring is low. Surgical removal of Bellafill is possible and we have a wide ranging experience with the treatment. Some areas of the face can be treated because the Bellafill removal scars are barely visible. We have found that Bellafill nodules, if palpated, can be removed from the tissue. Undereye Bellafill, nasolabial fold Bellafill, and lip filler can be treated successfully. Diffuse Bellafill is difficult to treat. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Swelling and nodularity after Bellafill injection. I would probably try some steroids orally and/or injections into the treated area. There is no way to reverse the product. I have seen swelling after Bellafill which resolves but can't tell you if this is going to in your case. Final results take about 4-6 months. Still early in the healing phase.

Answer: Bellafill I agree with the other advice that you have received. I am a trainer for the company so am quite experienced with Bellafill. I have rarely seen this kind of reaction but am confident that it can be resolved with either kenalog or 5fu injections if needed but as others have suggested I would wait a few more weeks before considering that. Also be sure to follow up regularly with your doctor.

Answer: Bellafill Hello!!! Remember, Bellafill takes about 4-6 weeks to take effect and you may see some changes and improvement. I would test with ice and anti inflammatories. If you do not see significant change after 4-6 weeks, contact your provider to assess Best of luck!
