It is common to get swelling after fillers into the lips. It is not normal to have irregularities or severe swelling. If you are unhappy you should speak to your physician and have the area injected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that reverses the hyaluronic acid filler. For the next injections, consider Restylane Silk with cannula injection, this technique will limit the pain, swelling or bruising after the filler placement. Mild swelling, bruising and discomfort are not uncommon after juvederm injections in the lips.  Your symptoms should decrease over the next couple of days.  You may gently ice the area and may contact your dermatologist who can prescribe medication to decrease the swelling.  The lumpiness and bumpiness should also decrease over the next several days.  If they persist after 1-2 weeks, I would recommend that you have your filler evaluated by your dermatologist as he/she may be able to dissolve persistent lumps with hylauronidase.
