Juvederm bruising or blood vessel damage? (Photo)

Delayed bruising is not unusually and will almost certainly disappear completely. If it is swollen or tender you may consider applying cold compresses. Some patients have told me that Arnica Cream has helped bruises resolve more quickly. I hope you find this helpful.

Looks like a normal bruise. Should disappear within a few days.  No permanent damage or blood vessel damage. 

This is normal for injections with fillers.  Sometimes the bruises take a couple of days to come out.  they will slowly resolve.

Thank you for your photographs and questions.  Because of the thin nature of the skin of the lips, it is not uncommon to have some bruising that takes place after injections of JVD.  The bruise on the upper lip may have been from gravity causing blood tracking through your tissues after the injections, if you laid down.  At six days, you should be noticing steady improvement daily in your appearance.  If you are not, visit your injector so that they can examine you.  Additionally there are methods to try and minimize the risk of bleeding with future treatments, so discuss these with your physician as well.

I always advise my patients to ice the treated area or apply arnica to help resolve bruising and swelling in the lips. Please consult your injector if this persists after two weeks. All the best!

This is normal for this type of treatment. The bruising looks like it is coming from under or your inner lip to the surface. Labial artery injury is common.

It looks like a bruise, usually intravascular injury is fairly acute and the skin blanches and there is pain associated with it.  Always best to review with your surgeon.

This appears to be a bruise but if you're concerned about intravascular injection please return to your injector as they can evaluate your lip and treat you as needed. This does not appear to be vascular occlusion after your Juvederm. The bruise might have been deep and took a while to surface. A VBeam or Excel V laser will help this resolve more quickly.
