Hi! I received a VI peel on Thursday Jan 25 and stopped peeling for the most part by the following Tuesday. My skin returned to its normal touch, look and feel by Friday and Saturday. Today, Monday Feb 5 in the evening I took my little twinkle straight razor and “dermaplaned” places on my face that had a little peach fuzz. My skin feels fine afterwards. I usually would have waited to shave my face but for some reason I felt like it was ok to do so... could I have caused any damage?

Thank you for your question. It is best to use your finger tips to clean the skin very gently. a wash cloth might pull the skin off before it is ready. always remember to be gentle with the peeling area and use warm or cold water.
Typically, with the Vi Peel you will look worse before you look better. The dark spots are likely dead skin that will slough off as the peeling process continues. However, if these new dark spots remain after the peeling process is complete you should follow up with your provider. We would...
