Thank you for your query. If you have enough time , I recommend doing the procedure four to six weeks before the wedding. If you do not have enough time you can do it as late as a few days before the event, taking care to avoid bruising. Most bruises, if they happen, can take three weeks or more to resolve Please discuss this with your Dermatologist or Plastic surgeon who can help you with your concerns. All the best!
A good baseline would be 2 weeks minimum so the final result is visible and bruising and swelling is resolved. For brides it's best practice to do facial sculpting and injectables a month before the wedding so there is time to make any adjustments or tweaks 2 weeks prior.
Life events such as weddings and ceremonies are often on the forefront of patient’s minds as receive aesthetic treatments. As a general rule, it is best to have all injectable treatments done a minimum of 6 weeks before your event. This time period allows for administration of injections, swelling, bruising to resolve and also provides the provider time to touch up treatment for a final result without fear of bruising or swelling on the big day. Facials that are well tolerated by a patient can be performed the week of the event for optimal skin preparation. Have fun!
Thank you for question. This is a very common question many patients will ask. We typically recommend 4 weeks prior to an event so that we can have a 2 week follow-up to assess any further necessary injectables. This way, in the next 2 weeks leading up to the event, the products will settle. It is important to have a consult with an experienced injector in order to asses your specific needs.
This is a great question. If you are looking for simple dermal filling and maybe some Botox or Dysport, I would suggest a 2 week window so you can look your best. If you have facial hallowing and want volume you might consider Sculptra but this is a longer process, that might take a few months. Also go to a provider that uses sculpting cannulas which decrease pain and downtime substantially. Hope this helps. JB
Thank you for your question. Hyaluronic acid fillers or HA fillers can prolong the need to undergo surgery. The results of a liquid face lift are immediate, and with very little to no downtime! You may get some light swelling or bruising, however many of my patients come on their lunch break and resume all normal activities within 24-48 hours. Results vary, but it can last up to 2 years. The cost is relative to surgery, the difference being the instant gratification and little to no down time. I would give yourself 14 days prior to the wedding. The LiteLift™ is a modified facelift developed by board-certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Jed Horowitz and myself. We created this facelift technique with the goal of providing a less invasive, natural looking option for women and men wanting to refresh their appearance with less downtime and fewer risks. The LiteLift™ is a “real” facelift, which does address the underlying muscle, tissue, and overlying skin. It is not a superficial skin lift like other mini-lifts performed elsewhere. The LiteLift™ facelift is also not a “Thread-lift” or “String-lift,” and is not to be confused with the mega facelift chain “Lifestyle Lift,” which has closed its doors nationwide. The LiteLift™ modified facelift technique perfected by us, results in less swelling, bruising, and healing compared to traditional facelift procedures. Most LiteLift™ patients have their procedure performed under local anesthesia, which reduces healing time, because they don’t experience the after effects of general anesthesia. Many patients are able to go back to work within one week.I hope this helps you, be well!
Thanks for your question. On average, I inject a patient then see them back 3 weeks to a month later to check in and do any touch-ups if necessary. I would give yourself at least 6 weeks before a big event such as a wedding to do any major injections to leave time for any adjustment. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. This is extremely important issue. I like to perform injections know sooner than 6 weeks in advance of a major event if possible. This gives everything time to settle in and also allow us time to adjust things if necessary. Of course, if only a small amount of injection is being administered this rule is not fixed and that can be taken into consideration. Best of luck.
The answer depends partly on what you are having done, as the various components of liquid facelifts take different amounts of time to work and create varying degrees of swelling. A safe bet would be to allow at least a month to a month and a half before an event. A liquid facelift may consist of neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. These can sometimes take up to two weeks before they relax the dynamic muscles that cause wrinkles. And it may be another couple of weeks before the overlying skin relaxes enough for the wrinkle to smooth out. Dermal fillers such as Sculptra can take several months to work, as their mechanism of action is to stimulate the production of new collagen. The hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane and Belotero are all fast-acting, but may cause some slight swelling or redness at the injection site for a few days. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist now will let you plan so you can look your best at your upcoming event.
Every patient may react differently to a treatment, no matter the technique that is used. I would generally recommend allowing for at least a month between the injections and the event, especially if a significant amount of injection is to be performed, to allow for things to completely settle, and for any touching up to be done if necessary. Best wishes.
