I know I will not be flat in that fine I just want to enhance the shape I have.
Answer: Liposuction For safety purposes for an elective surgery, most surgeons require you to be at a healthy BMI to be a candidate for surgery. At my office, we require a BMI of 35 or less since research has shown lower instances of peri- and post-operative complications among patients with a healthy BMI. Your blood sugar and blood pressure would likely improve with weight loss, making it is safer to do surgery. That being said, every surgeon is a little different with what they are comfortable with. I would recommend calling a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to see what their policy is regarding this, and with scheduling a consultation they can give you an idea if your goals are achievable with liposuction based on your body type and skin quality, but may require you to lower your BMI before performing surgery.

Answer: BMI Safety is always the number one priority in surgery. Those with a high BMI have a higher risk of complications such as poor wound healing, infection, and seroma formation. Losing weight prior to liposuction allows your surgeon to maximize your results.

Answer: Is liposuction on high BMI safe, is liposuction for weight loss? liposuction is for body contouring not weight loss. even if you do liposuction with a high BMI you wont see substantial change and will need numerous treatments -- in the US you can safely remove 5 L per treatment which isnt a huge amount of weight. I suggest if you want to do this you go to an expert who does a lot of patients who are larger in staged procedures and combines hormones/weight loss medications. we do this daily in our practice. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: BMI too high for surgery I recommend you begin a low fat diet, core exercises such as sit-ups, planks, pilates and start wearing an abdominal binder. You may also want to consult a bariatric surgeon. Liposuction can be done and can remove 10 lbs during one session. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear Exciting969141, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you should reach goal weight prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
