Hello! I had a breast augmentation a few years back. I had : 345-360 cc moderate profile textured round implants. I now want a revision because my I dont like the look of my implants at all. They sit way too high. I have a lot more implant above my nipple than below. I also want bigger breasts but dont want the big fake big boobs look. Therefore, HP scare me a little because I dont have natural breast tissue. On the other hand, HP located lower on my chest could maybe do the trick ? Thank you
Answer: Implants What you have now is a little large for your tissue and does tend to sit higher since there is no room for the implants to go elsewhere. Your wish photo is not realistic for you since your frame is smaller. If the implants were placed on top of the muscle, they could sit lower and you could go larger. However, you would see the implant edges and the look would be more fake. I would suggest going smaller and keeping them behind the muscle for a more natural look. If the inferior fold was lowered, the implants so sit a little lower. However, this can weaken your natural fold and sometimes the implants sag down more over time. If your fold is lowered, you may need mesh for support.

Answer: Breast augmentation revision Revision of the pocket so the implants sit lower will restore aesthetics. Your wish picture shows larger implants, likely achieved with high profile implants which will sit better. So yes, larger HP implants located lower on your chest to achieve desired results should be discussed further with your/a plastic surgeon.

Answer: BA revision Dear Mtlxioma, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
