I would like to know if this procedure ages you faster. Does it thins the skin as you age?

Thank you for your question. Assuming the procedure is performed by an experienced facial plastic surgeon and the correct amount of the fat pad is removed, the results should provide the desired contour without affecting the skin or the aging process. 
A buccal lipectomy, or buccal fat pad removal, is an ideal procedure for improving cheek and jawline definition while reducing a rounded appearance in the lower part of the face. Since buccal fat tissue is not regrown, the results of this fat pad removal are permanent. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can answer any question you may have.

Buccal fat reduction does not thin the skin as the fat that is removed is way deep in the face. Like everything else it needs to be properly done by an expert who will remove just enough fat to contour the face. Excessive removal of the fat can cause buccal hollowing years after the procedure. Hello! As far as I'm aware, it shouldn't age you faster, especially if you're doing other things to compliment your skin like protection from the sun and hydration. Buccal fat removal is often subtle in nature. As long as your weight is stable, you eat healthy, and are physically active, you should age gracefully.
