Mons Pubis Liposuction. Is there an alternative?

The mons pubis fat pad tends to be diet-resistant for many women, but not all. If you're a few pounds overweight and have never dieted, however, you might want to give it a shot. Otherwise, liposuction is the least invasive way to directly reduce this area. If the area is very large, liposuction might not be enough and you might require a mons pubis lift (monsplasty) through a small scar. Hi. Mons liposuction is a common operation that improves the contour of the mons if you have excess fat but not loose skin - there is no other alternative. For this small area the procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic in the office. Regards Dr Charles Cope

Mons liposuction is effective for patients who simply have too much volume in this area, but have normal skin. If there is significant skin laxity, you might need to have a mons-plasty procedure in which some of the skin is removed and the tissue is "suspended" to the abdominal wall fascia.

It is kind of common to find a pubic area which carries unattractive volume but also it is common to see saggy mons pubis, so it will be very important to determine if your case is just fat to get removed or a mons lift would be needed. Both procedures have a very easy recovery, definitely both produces a lot of swelling but also the results of both procedures are very nice and beautiful.Be encouraged Dr. Cardenas

There are no alternatives to liposuction in this area, and weight loss seems to have little effect. We prefer suction in this area through an umbilical approach with ultrasound to effectively reduce mons fullness.

There are no alternatives to a mons reduction other than liposuction. It is a small area of liposuction that can be done under either local or IV sedation. Total costs would be in the range of $2500 to $3000.
