Is This Mondor's Disease on the Upper Chest? (photo)

Mondor's cords are veins that have a superficial thrombophlebitis.  This is often found along the inframammary fold.

Thank you for the question and pictures. Although it is possible that what you are seeing is superficial thrombophlebitis of the veins after breast surgery, it is also possible that what you are saying is simply normal anatomy.  The cases of Mondor veins that I have seen in my practice, generally present below the inframammary fold areas.

There is no association between Mondor's veins and capsular contraction.

Mondor's "disease" refers to superficial thrombophlebitis usually of veins on the breast. It isn't particularly rare. Most plastic surgeons with a busy breast practice see this occasionally after breast enlargement surgery. Usually the presentation is of a cord like sensation in the breast fold. 

This looks more like an unclotted vein, although on exam your surgeon can readily tell whether or not it is thrombosed (clotted) or inflamed. Mondor's disease is self limited requires no treatment except for mild pain meds if pain is an issue.
