I had Smart Lipo done 2 weeks ago and my lower back is on fire as I stand up. Please tell me why (Photo)

Hi there,Some burning, tingling sensation is normal at your stage post lipo procedure. The love handles and sacrum tend to be the area that will have this sensation the most.   Lymphatic massages, to remove extra fluid should help.  In some instances I prescribe meds to help with this.  I would speak with your provider about best options for you!

Pain can be variable for patients who have had liposuction. If necessary, this pain can be treated with anti-inflammatory medications and neurontin. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. It can take 3-6 months for final results with Smart lipo. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. Lipo along the back and waistline causes discomfort near the surface of the muscles. It will subside, but improves with massage and anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen or naproxen. Some patients find relief with sports creams designed for muscle pain (Ben-Gay, etc). If the pain is new or severe, contact your surgeon for an exam and specific advice.

burning pain is usually from nerve irritation and healing. Your photos appear normal. i am sure it will improve with time. As suggested by the other doctors, massage and some anti-inflammatories such as Motrin and be reasonably active. It will get better so try and hang in there.david berman md

Swelling can cause healing. The heat of the laser may have irritated the inner lining of your skin.
Wearing good compression, and daily walking will help decrease the swelling.
Talk to your provider about it. Consider gabapentin, a Medicine that helps with nerve pains.
