If so, can size and profile be determined w/o measurements? I measured myself, though probably inaccurately and got 12.5-13cm for width. First photo is me, next is goal. Husband likes look of rice sizer in 600cc, will this much look cartoony on my frame?
Answer: Breast Implant Sizing Thanks for the photos. It is really difficult to answer your question as there is a lot that goes into sizing our patients. We perform measurements, evaluate the skin envelope elasticity, look at photos, look at diagrams and finally use the Allergan sizing system to size the patient in the office. We obviously listen and discuss exactly what the patient wants and doesn’t want so that we can deliver the expected results. Your best path to determine what size would work and how big you can be would be to seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Make certain the surgeon you choose has great deal of experience in breast implant surgeries. Hope that helps.

Answer: 600 cc implants Going from your current breast size to 600 cc implants may not be possible to do safely in one surgery. Extra full profile implants with a base width of 12.5-13 cm typically run in the 495-545 cc range. Using an implant with a diameter that exceeds your natural breast boundaries places you at risk of significant postoperative complications. I recommend you base your decisions on your breast dimensions and tissue type, not on implant size per se.

Answer: 600cc Thanks for your question! I'm not sure that many cc's will work for your frame. Moreover, you have a very short distance from the bottom of your areola to your inframammary fold. My guess is that your goal photo was not achieved in one surgery. I would suggest an in-person consultation to evaluate your goals. Good luck!

Answer: Implant selection Implant selection is a detailed process which is why it is important that you feel comfortable and confident in your surgeon. In addition to volume you will need to determine, type, style, and profile. Your surgeon will measure your breasts and discuss the options with you. The 600cc implant may be a little large for your frame, but an in person evaluation is the best way to determine this.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Implant sizing Choosing the implant size can be one of the hardest decisions with breast augmentation. Every plastic surgeon has their own method to pick the correct implant size with their patients. The choice of implant is determined by combining your goals for size and the appearance of the breasts with a detailed assessment of your height/weight, breast dimensions, and chest width. In our practice, we generally have patients bring photographs of the desired appearance of their breasts after augmentation. We also have them try on breast implants in the office. Bigger is not always better. There will be more thinning of the skin and soft tissues, making the implants more visible. The increased implant weight and thinning of the tissues may lead to loss of support with time, so the implants sag. Based on your ideal photos, the breasts are wide and stick out beyond the chest wall, and your arms may strike the implants with running or lifting things. I would recommend discussing your goals with your surgeon, so collectively as a team, you can determine the best implant size for you.
