I had my reduction about 3 wks ago.I am pleased with my results but am starting to get a little concerned since having my stitches removed.Before, I was getting a little bit of discharge which my PS explained as fat necrosis, which is common.Well after having my stitches removed, there is an area around my areola that looks like it's stretching.My PS says everything looks good.I'm getting worried because I have seen many ppl describe this as the beginning to a separation or hole near the areola.

It is a difficult to tell from your photo but it appears that you are losing some of the pigment from the skin around the areola.  This is very common in darker skins.  The pigment usually gradually returns.  Sometimes it returns darker than the original skin.  You may have seen this if you have had previous incisions, abrasions or cuts of your skin.  It does not appear from this one photo that you are developing a separation but if you think you are, call yoursurgeon's office to have it seen.  It is worth the appointment for your peace of mind.I hope you enjoy the results of the reduction.

probably not but hard to tell from jsut your pics, probably has more to do with pigment loss than anything else, glad to hear you love your results, good luck in your recovery1
