I have phlegm and had a tummy tuck Last Friday, what can I take?

What can I take after a tummy tuck surgery .. what is usually what is recommended by doctor to take or do?? Or if anyone has gone thru this and can share their experience of how it was taken care of.. thank you all in advance.. I don't have a cough with an itchy throat but just a phlegm that's stuck in my lungs and it won't come out... when I breath I can hear it..i just started a few hours ago..

Thank you for your questions. You can take most over the counter medications after your surgery. However, your best best would be to see your regular doctor for an examination and evaluation to make sure there is not something more serious going on. Once you have an exam with your regular MD, you can discuss treatment options with him or her. This should not greatly influence your cosmetic surgery. Best of luck!

you can have a scratchy throat after intubation with a general anesthetic.  It may be related to that.  You should call your surgeon and ask what they recommend. Good luck! DSR
