Will mixing Minoxidil brands of same concentration have any negative affects on scalp or results?

Mixing should not have any effect assuming equal concentration.That being said, if the alcohol drying effect is causing irritation, you are best served to used the reduced alcohol content formulation. There  are two concerns.. potency and tolerability. All minoxidil brands will have the same potency if the concentration stated on the package is the same. For some people, low alcohol content is more tolerable. For others, propylene glycol can be a problem and is the main ingredient in low alcohol minoxidil preparations. Minoxidil is available in various preparations as Alcohol base, Propylene Glycol Base or Non Alcohol Base . Usually  Irritation with Minoxidil is because of Alcohol or any other ingredients used as carrier. If we mix different brands the chances of sensitivity to the base used for Minoxidil can increase and it will be difficult to understand which product is causing allergy or sensitivity.
Alcohol based Minoxidil is most popular and easily available. In case this is causing irritation , then you can use Propylene  Glycol or other base Minoxidil so that it is more tolerable.

If you are having skin irritation, the minoxidil comes with either alcohol or propylene glycol.  You should look at the bottle and if one is irritating, try the other
