Can Creatine impact hair growth?

Question

Hi, I have jus started back on Finasteride 1 month in and hair is shedding as expected but also I'm taking creatine for training. Will this effect my hair growth? I have heard that creatine can potentially cause hair loss but with little back up and research. Can someone help please. I'm not taking creatine everyday only on trains days which is 4 days a week. Feedback would be more than appreciated.

Any anabolic protein has the potential to cause hair loss. (Shapiro). Creatine can increase the levels of DHT in the scalp. I routinely tell patients to avoid Creatine if they have male pattern hair loss. Vegetable-based proteins are suggested.

Over the many years in this business, I have seen supplements that contain steroids (some labeled and some not labeled). I remember an article (didn’t save it) where the FDA caught some supplement company of putting steroids in with the Creatine, and not labeling it. They broke the law.  Creatine, by itself, should not cause hair loss
