I was 25. I'm regretting going so big. I got high profile implants under the muscle.through my armpits I'm 5'6 and weight 154 pounds. I get so many stares from women and whispers that make me feel embarrassed. I feel they look very round and I look like I have a shelf on my chest they look so unnaturally. Does anyone havery any recommendations and happen to know the cost in Minnesota or roughly anywhere for a revision. Thank you. Does everyone agree that they are to big for my body?
Answer: Your opinion is the only one that counts! Personally, I don't think you are "too large," though it appears as if you may have a bit of capsular contracture (if your breasts are firm, which may be why they appear so round and a bit too high for your nipple-areola complexes). If you do indeed have CC, then surgery may be warranted, and smaller, wider profile implants (should have the same width as your HP implants now have, as this appears correct) will help give you the smaller size you desire, plus a softer, less globular (Baywatch coconut) shape.Size is totally your choice, and while I firmly believe your present size is clearly within "normal" limits, feeling "too large" is just as bad as feeling "too small"--for which you had this operation in the first place. Let's face it, you're pretty, have a nice figure, and will get stares and whispers regardless of your breast size. I hope your significant other is not the jealous type, as this is often the actual concern in these types of "wrong size" issues! Just saying.I don't think you require the cost or scars of a lift, but would reserve that decision/recommendation for personal examination. As to costs, I would probably charge the same as primary breast augmentation, around $7000, unless capsulectomies are necessary--that would take more time and a bit more cost. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Answer: Help - honest opinion please! Regret going so big: high profile implants. Thank you sending your questions with photos. The implants do not appear to big for your body. If you feel your too big and very round, you can switch to a smaller implant and a different profile and shaped implant. A breast lift will help to improve the result. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Best wishes.

Answer: Shape Change and Downsizing for Breast Implant It's best to begin by consulting with a board-certified surgeon in-person to learn which approach and implant #type is most ideal for you. It is certainly feasible to #downsize to smaller implants and also alter the positioning; if possible. However, decreasing is size may also require a Breast #Lift to #tighten loose skin, better optimize the end result. Other factors which contribute to the outcome are #size, #shape, and #profile. The #profile is determined by the amount of #projection versus roundness that the you desire, as well as the #size of the implant and size of your chest. Also, the placement or incision location will also have an effect on profile. #Shaped implants are all #textured and should not rotate when used properly. In my practice, about 20% of the patients benefit from shaped implants. Your Plastic Surgeon needs to measure you and determine the best shape and size of any implants that are used.

Answer: Implant Size Change Implant size is a very personal choice, and opinions will vary. A high profile implant does give a more fake and shelf-like appearance as you have already noticed. You can always exchange them for a smaller size and a moderate profile which would look more natural. You also look like you need to have a breast lift to position the nipple correctly on the implant. Consult with a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area about cost, and what your goals are.

Answer: Breast implant revision Your profile view shows your nipple points down. The revision would depend on the size and choice of implant couple with a lift around the areola to help get the nipple in the correct position.
