I am considering botox around the eyes to give a more open look to my eyes. I know botox can't physically make them bigger but can it make them look more open/wide kinda how eyes look when you are surprised or shocked and obviously I don't mean to that extent but you know what I mean :)
Answer: Bigger eyes with botox You can give the illusion of larger eyes by lifting the brow with botox, and if you see someone with experience in more creative injections, you actually can change the shape of the eyes too. As others have mentioned, a chemical browlift is done with botox injections just below the tail of the brow, which lifts the brow a millimeter or two. However that is often enough to make the eye look less hooded, heavy, or tired. This lifting effect is increased when you add crows feet botox injections, because the same muscle orientation that creates crows feet also holds the lateral brow down. Relaxing crows feet relaxes a downward pull on the brow.A number of articles have been written about using botox to change the actual shape of the eye, transitioning from a more almond shape to a more round shape. An article by Dr Fagien is the probably the best resource if you are looking for it. But the idea is that very small precise botox injections near the corner of the eye will open the angle where our upper and lower eyes merge, essentially creating a more open eye. The key here is to make sure you find someone who knows what they are doing here, though, because if they don't complications may occur.

Answer: Treating periorbital rhytids to create a more "open" appearance to the eyes Botox can give a more open look to the eyes by relaxing the muscle (orbicularis oculi) around the eyes which causes it to close during smiling and squinting. When this muscle is treated with Botox, the eye will remain open during smiling and appear more "open".

Answer: Can Botox give illusion of bigger eyes? When Botox is injected just below the eyebrows, it can cause the brows to raise up a small amount. This may give the illusion of the eyes being a bit more open.
