I had a genioplasty done 11 yrs ago. My face looked better up to a year when my face was still swollen. It gave me more volume and balanced my face a little better. I'm looking to have this done within the next 2-3 months. I have 3 questions: -Is it possible to get a chin implant through the inside of the mouth after a genioplasty? - Can a chin implant create more volume, and fix the asymmetry from my left and right side? -Can an implant make my face look like the app pic from the front?

Answer: Chin Implant Hello, we can achieve the appearance you have in the application with implants. It is possible to perform a chin implant from inside the mouth, and it can also correct some asymmetry. You are a suitable candidate for a chin implant. Answer: Chin surgery Looks like the left side of your chin is slightly lower compared to the right side, and you have a small dimple that i assumed you don't like, from the app picture. To correct the asymmetry, a redo genioplasty is best. I would not get an implant, as that will increase the mentalis strain you have. If you are not ready for a genioplasty, fat grafting is minimally invasive and does not put any foreign material in your body. It will smooth out the chin and give you better symmetry--more like the app pic, and add some volume. It will be more subtle than genioplasty or implants, but doesn't come with longer recovery with the genioplasty, or the long term risk like an implant.
