It depends on the technique and if fillers were administered as well. Swelling can last for a few hours to a few days, so it's important to follow your injector's post-care instructions to minimize the rate.
Swelling after Botox to the lips is usually minimal and should resolve in hours. If fillers were added, then it could cause more swelling.
Swelling should be minimal with botox injections to this area. I suggest speaking to your physician if it lasts more than a few days. Best, Dr. Emer.
Botox is a great treatment for early vertical lip lines. The swelling should resolve in few hours but some bruises and even muscle irregularities can lase longer.I hope that helps and best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko.
Botox can be injected above the lips in the vertical lines to soften them and it is never injected in to the lip itself. There should be minimal swelling from this treatment and it is usually caused by the fluid/Botox itself which abates within 15-20 minutes. Fillers to augment the lip volume may cause swelling that can last anywhere from several days to a week depending.
Thank you for your question. Botox placed in the lips is usually to reduce the fine vertical lines around the upper lip, and to soften the puckering look. Typically these injection sites resolve themselves in a matter of hours. Some individuals may have redness or swelling up to 24 hours after, but unless the injection caused some bruising or bleeding, most swelling has resolved by then. If you had fillers placed, then swelling may last for several days after the injections.
Swelling should be trivial or minimal after Botox injections to soften lip wrinkles. It should go away within a day or two. Bruising, if it develops, may last 5-6 days.Best,Dr. Karamanoukian
Botox is used off-label to soften lip lines. There may be temporary puffiness for a few hours or longer if bruising has developed.
Botox is not injected into the lips. It is often used just above the upper lip to reduce vertical fine lines and to soften puckering, or pursing of the mouth. Botox swelling is generally minimal and resolves within 24 hours. Filler can be injected into the lips for volume and swelling can persist for 5-7 days.
This can happen when some muscles are relaxed with Botox and others work harder to compensate for the lack of activity. It may be a simple correction and require 1-2 units on each side above the lateral eyebrow. I am glad you have a follow up appointment scheduled with your provider who will...
This may be a combination of scarring and/banding. I suggest you try more botox and venus legacy treatments to break apart the tissue and tighten it. If this does not resolve in 3-6 months then you may need addtional surgery. I suggest being evaluated as a second opinion....
It could with repeated treatments. Your jawline may become less squared and more tapered. However, it's important to talk to your injector about the effects if you are concerned.
