Saving Smart Lipo fat for a later fat transfer. Is it possible?

Storing fat for use on a later date falls under the realm of tissue banking, requires a specialized facility and is regulated by law. Even if a legal tissue bank exists, the viability of the fat cells is questionable after freezing and thawing. Another issue is the risk of infection if there were a breach in sterility in the storage process. The best way to store fat is to leave it on your body until you're ready to have it transferred.

What makes SmartLipo different from traditional liposuction is due to the fact that the laser that is used to tighten the skin kills and destroys the fat cells before removal. Fat removed using SmartLipo technology is not reusable whereas fat removed and harvested from traditional liposuction must be used immediately after for any fat transfer procedure. 

The fat removed with liposuction needs to be used immediately for the transfer. For fat transfer, the liposuction is completed first, then the laser is done so that the fat is not injured.
