Thank you for your question and photos. I see no issues with the results of your buccal fat removal, though if you have concerns, it is best to make a follow-up appointment with your surgeon to discuss any aesthetics you’re unhappy with.
Since the malar and buccal fat pads are in different layers of the cheek, the removal of buccal fat shouldn’t cause any negative effects on the malar fat pad. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can review your surgical history and address any concerns you may have.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. No one can predict aging changes over time, way too many factors in play there. If you have already had the procedure, not much you can do at this point. Just try to enjoy the surgical results you have now and appreciate the reason you did it in the first place. If down the line you have other issues, there are ways to address them.

Hello! This is a great question that I get asked by my patients. The buccal fat pad, also know as Bichat fat pad, is completely different and in different layer than the malar fat. Having said that, reduction of the buccal fat should not affect the malar fat volume or location. Hope that was helpful.

Appears you need malar Ha filler or fat grafting based on the posted photos. Best to virtual consult with or in person consult… HA filler better to use Voluma 1-2 syringes (fee$1,200) or micro/nano fat grafts (fee $2,500).

Hi there! I haven't necessarily heard of descent of the malar fat pad more aggressively or faster because of buccal fat removal. Over time, descent will occur due to aging and gravity. You seem to have nice cheek bones which will keep your face looking slender and less heart-shaped. Hope this helps!
