I’m interested in a bbl liposuction and I’m currently working with a hematologist. My platelet levels are increasing. Will it be safe to get surgery after raising my platelets count to a good range? Or will it still be risky
Answer: BBL Hi, thank you for sharing your question. If your hematologist and medical doctor clear you for surgery, you should be able to proceed safely.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear tiara863, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can you get BBL and Liposuction after raising your platelets count? If you have a platelet issue, I would require a written hematology clearance. The platelets should be over 150,000 in the laboratory results.

Answer: BBL Safety A thorough consultation that includes a comprehensive preoperative clearance will allow us to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for a safe BBL. If your platelet count is determined to be at a good range and no other factors are considered, then your risk should not be significantly higher than those undergoing a traditional bbl procedure. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Risk of surgery All surgery has risk involved. Your question is out of context and risk is relative. If you’re interested in having a cosmetic surgical procedure then I suggest scheduling a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get a proper assessment and help you understand what can or cannot be accomplished with this procedure. You can at that time discuss your medical history with the plastic surgeon. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
