Thank you for your question regarding whether you can get the results you want as depicted in your picture with a body lift. The answer is yes. However, you need an upper body lift, not a lower body lift. In the picture, you are grabbing your upper abdomen or upper back. Therefore, I would suggest an incision that goes underneath the breast and around the back to lift the upper abdomen, the side of your torso, and your back. This would give you more of an hourglass shape. Some surgeons, like myself, call this a horizontal torsoplasty. Others call it a bra-strap lift or a back lift. Other plastic surgeons call it an upper-body lift. Another procedure that may get you even more curves would be a vertical torsoplasty. This is also called an hourglass procedure. During a vertical torsoplasty, an incision is made from the armpit, down the side of your chest to your hip. A large elliptical area of skin and fat is taken out from your sides. This results in a more curvy figure. The last option (which I would not suggest) would be a midline scar from your sternum to the belly button to your pubic region. A large elliptical area of skin and fat is taken from your abdomen and the waistline is brought in. The problem with this incision, namely a vertical tummy tuck, is that you have a highly visible abdominal scar. Not ideal. Therefore, I would suggest a horizontal torsoplasty or vertical torsoplasty for optimal results. This will get you a body lift with curves. Thank you for your question and good luck.
