I’ve had two previous BBLs one in 2019/2020. My 2019 results weren’t bad. I was happy with the size but not really the shape so I went to another Dr who assured me that he could give me a more fitting shape without making my butt too big. But instead he did the completely opposite made my butt too big, unshapely, and the top a lot heavier/bigger than the bottom. I’ve always cared more about shape than size and I’m looking for someone who won’t lie to me and can truly reduce/reshape my butt
Answer: BBL results Dear Bdolled, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Second BBL A BBL is primarily a volume producing procedure. It can create shape to some degree but primarily it adds volume. Choosing the right plastic surgeon is not easy. It’s best done by having in person consultations and lots of them. During the consultation I recommend patients ask the surgeon to show their entire collection of the procedure you’re interested in. This should include all types of results including less than ideal outcomes. By doing this the patient should get a good understanding of how much experience the provider has and what average results look like. For a vision work patients should request the providers show all of the previous revision or second BBL work results. Patients should take the responsibility to confirm that after pictures are always taken at least three months from the date of the procedure. This is the best way to judge skill and experience from the provider. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum of 30 sets of before and after pictures and in reality highly experienced providers will have hundreds or possibly thousands of before and after pictures. Secondly avoid providers that have any significant number of justified negative reviews on all the various physician review websites. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than an abundance of positive reviews. I recommend patient continue scheduling more consultations until they feel quite certain they found the most experienced and talented provider that they feel comfortable with in their community. I recommend patients avoid traveling long distances for surgical procedures. In the end each surgeon is responsible for the outcome of their procedure and likewise each patient is responsible for choosing their surgeon. Your options are to follow up with the second provider who did your second BBL and talk to that person about doing a revision work for you. If you’ve lost faith in that person then you need to start the process over again. In hindsight perhaps haven’t gone back to the first provider and having that person do a revision for you would’ve been a better choice since overall you were pretty pleased with the outcome.
