How would someone know if they have a injection from butt injections? I have had silicon injection, well suppose to be sillicon and i want to know if there are signs that i know i have infection. I have inflamation, and i have granulomas, and sometimes my butt itch. When i visited cosmentic surgeons in the past and most will say i its not serious problem leave it alone but how do i know if its serious?

Free silicone injected into the soft tissues of your buttocks is very hard to remove and if done will leave very visible scars.  Therefore, unless it is causing a problem, it may be best not to remove.  However, these silicone deposits can become infected at any time if you develop transient bacteremia from other procedures.  You need to be alert to signs and symptoms of infection - malaise, lethargy, fever, chills, erythema, pain, tenderness, etc.  I would recommend taking prophylactic antibiotics if undergoing any surgical or dental procedures.

As for your
question, I can answer that was unfortunate the fact you have this substance
injected into your buttocks.

Biopolymers
ALWAYS should be removed, because you present at any time iatrogenic
allogenosis and probably A.S.I.A. syndrome. The skin redness could be secundary
to the liquid silicone and I dont recomend you treat with any type of energy as
light (laser), Intensed Pulsed Light (IPL) that could increase the inflamatory
activity.

Our plastic surgery center
specializes in the treatment of Biopolymers injections (permanent fillers:
liquid silione, Polyacrylamide Gel, PMMA, Biogel, Macrolane, Metacryletc.) to
the face, buttocks and other soft tissue and its complications. We see patients
that came worldwide who have complications arising from Biopolymers injections
to soft tissues. The Biopolymers cause a severe inflammatory reaction that can
cause permanent damage to the tissues known as Iatrogenic Allogenosis and an
autoimmune syndrome (A.S.I.A. Syndrome). In our plastic surgery center, I
developed the technique of resection of biopolymersin face, buttocks and lower back
through video – endoscopy, a surgery made with minnimal incissions to treat
patients with permanent deformities secundary to Biopolymers injections. Other
techniques such as liposuction, VASER or LASER are absolutely ineffective in
treating this type of situation.

I am assuming that you had free silicone injected into your buttocks? Infection will likely present with fevers, pain or tenderness at the injection sites, redness or warmth of the skin overlying the injection sites, and/or open draining wounds with purulent discharge. If lab tests were drawn, there might be an elevation in your WBC count. If a CT scan was done, the infected areas would show stranding (inflammation) or fluid collections (abscesses). There is a possibility that you could have a foreign body reaction with inflammation and/or granuloma formation without infection. Injection of free silicone has a high risk of complications. It is actually very difficult to remove this material and can lead to significant cosmetic deformities (scarring and asymmetry).
