I am 5'0 and about 126 pounds and have a scheduled procedure november 9th. I have asthma that hasn't flared up in years but otherwise I am in good health with no previous surgeries or underlying conditions. I wanted inner thigh lipo and arm lipo with my BBL because I am petite and that is where I hold the most fat. I don't have a lot of fat on my abdomen area but mostly in my arms and inner thighs. I want to know how risky it would be or if its possible
Answer: My recommendation Hello darling, Theres no risks in doing lipo in those areas. You dont have to worry about it. Just make sure you get a clearance from your pulmonologist pre-surgery. Best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Passionate850487 it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: How risky is it to get arm and inner lipo with a BBL? Hello, thank you for your question. In a patient whose asthma is well managed or has not been symptomatic for a long period of time, this combination can be performed. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, bra roll and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. This really just depends upon your goals. I recommend you to schedule an email or Skype consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed thousands of these procedures and who has pictures and reviews you like.

Answer: Extremity Liposuction is very safe Liposuction of the extremities is very safe. It’s probably safer than having liposuction of your torso. The biggest risk or fear patients seem to have in regards to the BBL procedure is the risk of a fat embolism which has nothing to do with harvesting the fat or Liposuction but is a complication that is believed to happen during the fat grafting aspect. With more modern techniques the chance of this single complication is now much lower. The most common approach for the BBL is liposuction of the torso because it is so complementary to gluteal fat transfer. If someone has a fat distribution were fat can more easily or more favorably be harvested from the extremities than that is fine and I’m sure most surgeons who do this procedure regularly have done this combination. This is especially true in patients who have a low BMI. I will often start with the torso then include arms or thighs as secondary or tertiary areas to harvest fat depending on how much fat I need for the fat transfer. Overall I would say that arms give far higher patient satisfaction then inner thigh and Liposuction no more patients request inner thigh and Liposuction. it depends quite a bit on the individual patient. Areas with skin laxity do not do nearly as well as those areas or patients with tight skin. I suggest having in person consultations to get an accurate assessment if you have enough at and how much fat can be harvested to make sure the procedure is justified. Results of this procedure very greatly among different providers. I would encourage you to have multiple in person consultations. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
