I got chin lipo 7 weeks ago and although some swelling is yet to go down I’m more concerned about the indents and dimpling under my chin. Is this normal for this stage of recovery? Thanks

Answer: Rippled skin after chin lipo Hello Kyander, Thank you for your question and for sharing your images and concerns. You do appear to have some irregularity under the chin, but it is possible that is still related to postoperative swelling and healing. I would recommend contacting your surgeon about your concerns as there may be interventions to consider. I hope that is helpful. All my best! Answer: Dimpling after neck liposuction Some uneven areas and lumps can be normal from the healing process, and massage often helps the process along. If too much fat was removed; however, the undersurface of the skin can scar down irregularly and would have to be revised. I would give it some time and massage and follow up with your surgeon with your concerns. Best of luck, Sarah Saxon, MD

Answer: Submental Liposuction Recovery Your photos show some unevenness under the chin after liposuction treatment. That is undesirable, but assessment is difficult without in-person exam and additional history. For this reason, I would recommend that you keep in touch with your plastic surgeon. He or she knows your initial anatomy, surgical procedure, and early recovery, and can best advise you on current treatment (massage? injections? future revisions?) Postop follow up and care are important, too.
