What can be done about my asymmetrical nose, 8 years post-rhinoplasty? (photo)

When we look to narrow somebody's nasal base, we like to keep the incisions confined to the nasal base, so they are not conspicuous. If those scars are only visible when you move your nasal skin to the midline, it may be best to just leave them alone. It is hard to evaluate your nose for symmetry, or asymmetry, based on your up-close photos. Sorry I cannot be more helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, a well performed revision rhinoplasty can likely help with this. Maneuvers for your surgery would include tensioning the tip and the placement of extended alar contour grafts to help improve the nostril symmetry, among other maneuvers. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
