I just had a BA yesterday . 700ccs OF saline - I was a small b to start . I noticed some crazy bruising under my boob all in and around my incision . It's yellow and very dark purple .. honestly almost looks black. Most of all gross :( . I have no other symptoms besides the usual discomfort and pain . It appears to have gotten bigger and darker since prior and the yellow is also new . Should I be concerned ? I'm honestly freaking out
Answer: Post Op Bruising Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. As others have stated, you appear to have more bruising than normal but your body may be resolving it well- hence the changing colour. The best plan for you would be to ask for an in-person assessment with your Plastic Surgeon, especially if you note increased pain and firmness on that breast. They will want to rule out a hematoma and a physical exam is required. All the best

Answer: Bruising after breast augmentation The bruising is more than typical after breast augmentation. This could be a by-product of choosing the 700 cc breast implants, and your body attempting to accommodate this large size. Consult in person with your surgeon as he or she knows the scope of the surgery and the specifics about you.

Answer: Bruising 5 days post-op It appears that you do have significant bruising after your breast augmentation. You received large implants. In order to accommodate a large implant in some one with a small breast there is a higher chance of bleeding due to the need to create a larger pocket. That said bruising can happen and in most cases resolves with out major problems. You should make your surgeon aware to insure you do not have a hematoma which is a significant bleed that can require a trip to the operating room. Also bleeding into the pocket can increase the chances of developing a capsular contracture. If you are not having high level of pain and significant swelling bound what is expected after surgery that is less likely. Contact your surgeon so he can evaluate you. Good luck!
